About Me

I’m a PhD student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. My research interests lie in robotics in STEM education and learning analytics/educational data mining.

I have had the opportunity to work as a graduate research assistant on several NSF-funded projects focused on STEM education. These experiences have helped me explore and shape my research interests, and identify research gaps that need further study. I have shared some of my individual or collaborative research findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at top educational conferences.

I am very lucky to part of Making Data Science Count Research Group, led by Dr. Joshua Rosenberg.

I am fortunate to serve as the graduate student representative for Division H (Research, Evaluation and Assessment in Schools) at AERA from 2024-2026. Graduate student representative duties include running weekly writing groups, leading AERA proposal writing workshops and How to Navigate AERA Workshops, chairing some sessions at the AERA Annual Conference, and other duties from the Graduate Student Council at AERA and Division H VP.

Personal

I grew up in a city on the southeast coast of China. Seafood made by my dad and grandma is my favorite food.

Research, though important, is not the whole of my life. I enjoy reading, playing musical instruments and calligraphy. I am also a foodie! Lifestyle-wise, I believe in long-termism. I like to keep my spaces empty, simple and clean.
